Food for the friendly bacteria, they are non-digestible food ingredients that beneficially affect the host by selecting stimulating the growth of friendly bacteria (like probiotics). Some examples of prebiotics are FOS, Xylitol, ext.
Living microorganism (bacteria or yeast) which open ingestion exerts health benefits beyond beherient basic nutrition. Probiotic means "for life" (as opposed to antibiotic which means anti-life)
Whenever we start with a natural molecule, we are building on substances which nature has refined over thousands of years. These substances can be digested and metabolized by our enzymes, liver and kidneys without any serious side effects. When we ingest synthetic substances our organ systems do not have the proper digestive enzymes to completely metabolize them, thus leading to many of the side effects we suffer from.
There are many studies on the beneficial effects of different natural pharmaceuticals for various medical conditions. However, there are few studies concerning the synergistic effect of combining different natural products. I am looking forward to using the scientific literature to combine various natural products which will work on various chronic medical conditions. The combined products can be more effective than individual ones, easier to take (less capsules or pills) and less expensive than the individual ingredients separately.
Nutraceuticals is a term that comes from the combination of nutrition and pharmaceutical. The word is meant to describe natural food-based (nutrition) substances that have pharmacological (healing) effects on the human body. Nutraceutical refers to any food product, supplement or dietary substance that has proven health and medical benefits.
